The two German rookie drivers Pascal Wehrlein and Sven Mller didnt have any starting problems and convinced with consistently strong results right away. The second weekend of the season at Brands Hatch already saw them scoring their maiden podium finishes in arguably the worlds strongest and toughest junior racing category with second place for Mller and third place for Wehrlein. With his maiden race victory at the legendary Nrburgring, Wehrlein showed that he has what it takes to follow in the footsteps of the likes of Vettel et al in Formula 1 one day.

Since the start of the season, Hankook, the DTMs exclusive tyre partner, has also been supporting the Formula 3 Euro Series with the Ventus high-performance competition tyres. A co-operation that is beneficial to both the drivers and the premium manufacturer. Manfred Sandbichler, Hankook Tire Europes motorsport director, returns the compliment: When we see how the young drivers and the German drivers in particular develop during the season and provide great and entertaining races for the spectators, we are very happy with the decision to become involved in the Formula 3 Euro Series.
