POOLE will be without Dennis Andersson for the rest of the season after the Swedish rider suffered a broken leg in a crash in Poland on Sunday.Pirates promoter Matt Ford is working on his options to replace Andersson for the clubs Elite League and KO Cup defence, the news coming just a day after they celebrated a one-two in the British Grand Prix with Chris Holder and Krzysztof Kasprzak.Ford said: Our first thoughts are with Dennis right now. On behalf of the whole club I wish him a speedy recovery. The news brings home just how speedways fortunes can change in a matter of hours. There has been a buzz around the whole club after the fantastic result from Chris and KK at Cardiff as they cleaned up the major placings at the Millennium. Feeling great elation for them, the next thing my phone rings and we learn of the awful news about Dennis and were now in a situation of having to plan ahead without him for the rest of the season.

PETERBOROUGH have an injury crisis with Norbert Kosciuch and Michael Jepsen Jensen joining skipper Kenneth Bjerre on the sidelines.Bjerre broke his leg in a crash involving Kosciuch at the Showground on Thursday, and the Pole is now out with shoulder damage, whilst Jepsen Jensen was badly shaken in a crash in Poland on Sunday, leaving the Panthers without all three for their Bank Holiday Monday double clash with Coventry.Panthers co-promoter Trevor Swales said: What originally looked like a golden opportunity to pick up a big haul of points has rapidly turned into a nightmare. We have lost two of our riders in one incident and then saw another crash in Poland on Sunday. Finding replacements on such a busy day in the calendar is proving far from easy.

MILDENHALL have added the National League Fours to their previous Pairs success after taking victory at Stoke on Sunday. The Fen Tigers put in a dominant display at Loomer Road with Joe Jacobs and Stefan Nielsen unbeaten throughout the day, leaving rivals Buxton in second place and Dudley third.Mildenhall co-promoter Kevin Jolly said: We showed our true team spirit today. Although he was injured Cam (Heeps) was still here helping winding the boys up and telling them they could win it.All the boys are over the moon and they deserved the victory, make no mistake about that. It's given everyone a hell of a boost and afterwards they were saying we've won the Pairs and the Fours so it's two down, two to go! And why not? I honestly believe this team is capable of winning anything!
