William Buller produced an impressive performance at Zandvoort to secure two podium finishesincluding a race win - from the latest three rounds of the F3 Euroseries.Williams victory in the second race was his second in F3 Euroseries this season and gave him his third winners trophy of 2012, having also tasted victory in GP3 at Silverstone last month.The 19-year-old - from Scarva, Northern Ireland - went into the Dutch race weekend hoping to build on his fourth F3 podium of the year at the Nurburgring a week earlier, while also seeking to improve on his fourth place in the championship standings.On-track action started with the pre-weekend test, where William posted the ninth quickest time at the wheel of his Carlin-run Dallara-Volkswagen. He then secured seventh on the grid for race three during qualifying, with his second best time putting him in the same position on the grid for the opening race of the weekend.That opening race saw Williams cross the line in eighth place, which gave him pole for race two under the reverse grid regulations used in the series. A strong start saw William stay out front when the lights went out for the start of race two, building a healthy advantage through the opening lap only to lose his lead when rain led to the Safety Car being deployed. With conditions then worsening, the decision was made to halt proceedings, with the race eventually restarting with only four of the allotted 20 minutes remaining. Restarting behind the Safety Car, William was able to control the race from the front through the closing laps to secure his second F3 win of the season, although only half points were awarded.Rain ahead of the final race led to officials deciding to start proceedings behind the Safety Car, with William amongst a number of drivers on the grid to gamble on slick tyres in the hope that the circuit would dry as the race went on.When the field was released by the Safety Car, a two-car clash ahead led to the race going back under caution immediately, which gave more time for the circuit to dry out. As those cars on wet tyres were then forced to pit, Williams gamble paid off handsomely as he moved through the field to run second behind Daniel Juncadella.Although he briefly dropped to third, William stormed back into second place to secure his second podium finish of the weekendleaving him third in the standings heading into the penultimate meeting of the year in Valencia next month.It didnt start too well for us in qualifying and we didnt have the pace to challenge for the front row, so there was work to do in the races, William admitted. We tried a few things for race one and eighth place was good as it meant we had the chance to start at the front for race two.I made a good start but it was a bit of a short-but-sweet race with the red flag and the fact we only had a few laps of racing. However, I had to make sure I didnt make any mistakes and made a strong start both times to control the race from the front and secure the victory.Going with slicks for race three meant it was tricky early on, but the fact that the Safety Car came out worked to our advantage as it gave more time for the circuit to dry. Juncadella took the same decision on tyres, which meant he was able to stay ahead of us but it was a strong performance to come through from seventh to second.A win and a second is good from the weekend and we have shown strong race pace again. We just need to work on getting more speed in qualifying so that when we head to Spain in a month, we can try and make sure we are at the front all weekend.
