EASTBOURNE ensured there were no slip-ups in their final home Elite League fixture of the season with a thumping 61-29 win over Belle Vue.Joonas Kylmakorpi, Lukas Dryml and Simon Gustafsson all hit double-figures for the Eagles, who may now require points on the road to maintain their top four place.Manager Trevor Geer said: It is now that the hard work really begins. We have been fortunate that the teams around us have been dropping points but we cannot afford to be complacent. Mondays match at Belle Vue is a massive fixture for us, we need to pick up points from that one. Although we remain hopeful of gaining something from our final matches, we dont want to be heading to the likes of Poole, Peterborough or Birmingham needing a win to stay in the top four.

GLASGOW co-promoter Alan Dick says the club are optimistic that a sale can be completed for the Tigers to secure new ownership.Dick and colleague Stewart Dickson are set to hand over the running of the club at the end of the season and have slashed adult admission prices to 10 for Sundays clash with Sheffield.Dick said: While I cannot say that we are in a position to announce any positive news yet, we are still hopeful as we continue talks with one potential new owner, and they would like nothing better than a huge crowd to show to them that there is a long term future for the club.I think this weekend is a very important one for the club, and I sincerely hope that the Glasgow fans, current and lapsed, come out and give the Tigers all the support that they can.(SPEEDWAY 4)
RYE House moved up to sixth place in the National League table by taking maximum points over the Isle of Wight at Hoddesdon. The Islanders led 34-32 with four heats to go but they were unable to boost their play-off prospects as the Raiders finished strongly for a 50-40 win.Home boss John Sampford said: This was a really good result for the team, in a match that we really needed to win. Stefan Nielsen was a superb guestand led from the front, while Ben (Morley) was really unfortunate to shed a chain in his final race.Hats off as well to Connor Coles, who was a little bit tentative to start with, but quickly got used to the track and used it to his advantage. It was a very good home debut, and Im really pleased for him. (FIXTURES)
