Armajaro MSA British Historic - Tuthill returns to BHRC

Historic Rally Championship this season and hopes to contest a full season in a 2-litre 911.

The Banbury-based driver last competed in the BHRC in 2002, but that campaign was halted when he rolled on the Mutiny Stages. Now, Tuthill will tackle the Robin Hood Historic Forest Stages in the 1965 Porsche and is hoping to take the historic category battle to Dessie Nutt. Over the winter, Tuthill's team has completed a major rebuild on Nutt's highly successful 911.

"I've demoted myself to a 2-litre car and this is purely for fun," says Tuthill, who will be co-driven by Nick Kennedy on the Nottinghamshire event. "I'll try and do all the BHRC events this year," he adds.

As well as running his own car, Tuthill's team will enter the newer 911 of Stuart Rolt in the post-historic category of the championship. Rolt's car was built new for the Safari Rally in Africa last December and will now be used in the BHRC.
