Lemar, Jamelia and Girls Aloud are joined by a mysterious guest artist for Days of Thunder
Due to an appearance at Channel 4’s ‘T4 Pop Beach Party’ extravaganza at Great Yarmouth on Sunday 6th June, BRIT award winner Lemar, Jamelia and Girls Aloud will now be playing at the ‘Pop at the Rock’ festival on Sunday 4th July as part of the third Days of Thunder event.
The trio of headline acts with be joined on the Rockingham stage by Romanian singing duo The Cheeky Girls and by a guest artist, turning the 4th July event into a summer music festival.
“This will be Rockingham’s biggest day of music yet,” said Rockingham CEO Ashley Pover. “July 4th is one of the busiest days in the sporting calendar with the Euro 2004 football final, the Mens Final at Wimbledon and, of course, Days of Thunder. Rather than try and fly the artists from Great Yarmouth where they will be performing on June 6th, we decided to move Lemar, Jamelia and Girls Aloud to the third event,” Pover continued. “We will be naming the fourth artist next week once their tour dates have been announced on Radio One. With these four acts and the Cheeky Girls, the third Days of Thunder event will be the biggest music event in the region. We will be announcing a replacement act for 6th June shortly.”
