Sieders Racing's Dave Sieders will be looking to maintain his recent form when the Auto One V8 Ute Series - protected by Armor All takes on the infamous Mount Panorama street circuit in support to the 50th Anniversary of the Bathurst 1000 this weekend, 4-7 October 2012.

The 2011 Series Runner Up was equal first for points at the last round in Darwin, with Pole and two race wins, and currently placed fourth on the Enzed Drivers' Leaderboard, Sieders has won three of his six races at Bathurst in the V8 Utes since 2010, where he also took out the round honours.

"It's been such a long time since we went racing," said Sieders, "we're coming off a something like a 16 week break, so I'm really itching to get back to racing, and what could be better than not only Bathurst, but to be part of the 50th Anniversary Celebrations".

"We have some good results this year, and have been stronger in the second half of the season for the past two years, especially at Bathurst, so hopefully we can keep up the trend."

Along with regular maintenance, the Team has spent some hours rigourously testing what is now a five car operation in the lead up to Bathurst, and are confident of a good showing.

"There are some things you can't control," said Sieders, "but we're pretty confident that with all the feedback and information from testing in the break, that we have a really good handle on these FG's now, and we're looking forward to taking on the mountain."

During the break, Sieders was also treated to his first dirt oval experience through his personal partners, Buttsworth Industrial Supplies and Creative Signworx, participating in an open sprintcar practice session at Sydney Speedway.

"What an awesome experience," said Sieders, "we sometimes get a little loose in the Utes, but driving that thing was unreal."

"It took me a couple of sessions to get used to driving it, but I was pretty happy with how I finished up for the evening, and wouldn't say no to doing it again."

The V8 Ute Series hits the track today Thursday, 4th October, for their opening practice session with practice session two and Qualifying on Friday. Saturday will feature two races, at 9:50am and 3:05pm, and the final race will be run at 8:00am Sunday, with races two and three televised LIVE on Network Seven."This year is going to be massive with the 50th Anniversary of Bathurst, and hopefully we can stick it at the front of the field again, and come home with a great result for the Team."
