EDINBURGH skipper Matthew Wethers is optimistic over his sides chances of reaching the KO Cup Finaldespite a 20-point first leg deficit against Ipswich. The Monarchs host the Witches on Friday and Wethers believes the fact that tactical rides are not allowed in the Premier League KO Cup can work in their favour. He said: Its do-able! I think we definitely have a chance to reach the cup final. We just all need to get our form going, it seems week after week someone has an off night. If we get everyone going we will be unbeatable. The 20-point gap was probably a bit more than we hoped for. The tactical rides make a difference, you dont get them in the Cup. They are going to come to us now and get no double-point rides.

ENGLANDS Under-21 football squad will be special guests at Kings Lynns National League clash with Rye House on Wednesday.Stuart Pearces team face Serbia at nearby Carrow Road, Norwich, on Friday, and are taking time off from their preparations to enjoy a night of speedway.Kings Lynn co-promoter Jonathan Chapman said: Both speedway teams feature some young and exciting riders under the age of 21 so all parties felt it would be a massive positive for both sports if the England team were to come along and watch. We will be taking the players around the pits to meet the riders, and hopefully everyone involved can take some inspiration from each other which can only help towards future success for the country both on the football pitch and the speedway track.
