RORY Schlein will defend the Elite League Riders Championship at Swindon on Saturday.Schlein won a sensational Final at Blunsdon last season, getting the better of Scott Nicholls and Freddie Lindgren, who are both also in the line-up along with World Champion Chris Holder.Schlein said: If Im gating well, and we feel confident then you never know. Youve got to have a bit of luck in those sorts of meetings and its always good to have a bit of luck on your side. There are other riders there like Darcy (Ward) and Chris of course coming off winning that World Championship, so a lot of eyes are going to be on those guys because they have been doing so well. That means we can go there and just do our own thing and see what happens without raising any eyebrows.(SPEEDWAY 2)
POOLE have called up Ludvig Lindgren to replace Sam Masters at reserve in the second leg of the Elite League Grand Final.Lindgren, who shares a team place with Masters, comes in for Wednesdays crunch clash with Swindon as the Pirates look to pull back a seven-point deficitwith promoter Matt Ford calling for more from his lower-order.Ford said: Luddy is tenacious and I know hell give everything to the cause in the second leg. This is the time when winners come to the fore. We can't afford to have any passengers and the ones that deliver will be the ones that believe in themselves and in this mission.I want to see six winners out there on the track on Wednesday. In the last two years we have tasted the glory and suffered the misery, there is only one of those that I would like to experience again.
