Premium tyre manufacturer Hankook will exclusively supply its successful line of competition tyres, Ventus Race to the 2012 City Challenge Baku. The much anticipated event will take place in the Azerbaijanian capital this weekend on 26th28th October. Hankook will supply its high-performance competition tyres to all 24 cars competing in various GT categories. The temporary track will be located close to the Seaside Boulevard and encircle the House of Parliament and 2012 Eurovision song-contest venue Crystal Hall which will make for a spectacular backdrop of a thrilling race.
City Challenge races are a spectacular urban motorsport experience, providing teams and drivers with the possibility to race on temporary circuits which places special demands on the participating teams, drivers, engineers and tyres. Finding the right set-up for the street concourse will be key in Baku this weekend. Hankooks Ventus race are developed to provide teams and drivers with extremely high-capacity tyres that satisfy all essential elements of performance such as braking, traction, steering response as well as stability, durability and of course safety.

The race weekend will comprise of two 90 minute free practice sessions on Friday, two 30 minutes qualifying sessions as well as two 30 minutes qualifying sprint sessions on Saturday and the 60 minutes City Challenge race on Sunday, that will be live-streamed online.
