Forza to be Reckoned With

In its maiden year of competition, Forza Racing has won races across Britain and Europe with George Russell making history as the first driver to retain the European KF3 crown.

The list of victories and podiums is impressive, especially when you consider that team principals Jamie Croxford and Paul Munn only officially launched their new venture in January 2012.

Since then, the pair rapidly forged a reputation for delivering superbly prepared equipment, excellent race support, coaching and, of course, success.

Masterminding the Cadet operation, Paul Munn believes it was a combination of experience as drivers and their natural will to win that saw his drivers claim a string of victories and titles: The number one factor is our competitive side. We want to win as much as our drivers do. We make sure that testing is always constructive and strive to get the most out of the drivers and the equipment. Looking to achieve 100% in all elements of what we do is another important factor.

Summarising Forzas debut year, Paul adds: Its been thoroughly enjoyable, especially seeing the drivers improve throughout the season. Some started out as relative unknowns and ended up vying for national championships. It shows we can develop comparative novices into title challengers because we aim to make the driver better and better as the year progresses.

The Forza difference, as Paul puts it is The fact that were the only team in the paddock that takes you from Cadets to Juniors. Youre part of the same set-up that runs the European Champion, thats unique.

Former professional driver with PFi and Birel, Jamie Croxford says there were several highlights of his year: Obviously George winning the Euro title for the second year was massive, but I also take great satisfaction from Billy Monger being in the top five nearly everywhere we went. Glan Y Gors was very special when we had three drivers in the top six and Billys double podiums in the Super One finale at Shenington were great to see. An all Forza front row with Robert Shwartzman and George at Zuera  was a very proud moment and Josh Read delivered some great moments too. His qualifying performance at Castelletto was exciting and against some the toughest competition Ive ever seen in KF2.

Jamie is clearly hungry for more success in 2013: Robert has already committed to us and despite being very young still, he is fast and his progression this season was terrific. I can see him winning races next year. I think the new engine homologation will be positive for us also, because as an independent team were not tied to a particular manufacturer, so well simply use the best kit available.

He adds: This season we learned a lot and achieved a lot, so next year can only be better!

In addition to the Cadet classes, Forza will enter drivers in both the KF3 and KF2 categories in 2013 and intends to contest the following series; Super One, the Winter Cup (at Lonato), WSK Master and Euro series, CIK-FIA European and World championships, CIK-FIA U18 Academy championship alongside a comprehensive testing programme.

Jamie says, Spaces are limited, so do call now. We want to run a neat, compact outfit as doing this allows us to focus more closely on the driver and the equipment. We also have a base in Italy, near Rimini, which has a track nearby and is close to the airport, so we really can offer the best of everything.
