Spedeworth International recalls its Banger racing stars of the past to show they have not lost the ability to put the bumper in, alongside the young pretenders to the throne, in an all-action unlimited (over 1800cc) National Banger meeting at Wimbledon's Plough Lane Stadium on Sunday March 14th at 6.00pm.
Those with long memories of attending the Banger bashes at Plough Lane will delight in seeing their favourite drivers, who were in action pre-1978, taking to the track again in the 'Stars of the Past' category.
The 'Young Guns' (over 18 but under 25) looking to follow in the tyre tracks of the veteran wreckers will be out in force and attempting to show the old timers that the new generation is just as capable of high speed car crushing at Plough Lane.
Also on the bill will be the 'in-between' drivers, those over 25 years of age or racing after 1978. They may be described, as 'In-Between' but the action they will deliver will be as explosive as the veterans and young pilots, as they drive their cars to destruction on the night.
With the drivers allowed to race the largest and most powerful cars they can lay their hands on for this event, the action is guaranteed to be fast and furious when the green flag drops at Wimbledon Stadium, Britain's finest stock car racing circuit.
