BIRMINGHAM plan to stage home meetings on Wednesdays next season - after consulting with supporters.Brummies officials are to submit an application at this weeks BSPA AGM to switch from their current Thursday race night after asking for feedback on an internet forum.Co-promoter Alan Phillips said: I am very conscious of the need to take into account the views of supporters and there is no doubt that a switch back to Wednesday evenings is more popular and the majority choice.Accordingly, I have decided to change back to our previous Wednesday evening arrangement. Im also conscious that there is less likelihood of Wednesdays clashing with any Premier League meetings so the decision was fairly easy.

ISLE Of Wight bosses have announced plans to start home meetings half-an-hour earlier next season. The Islanders believe the switch to 7pm will be more family friendly and will also enable more social activities immediately after meetings, where the priority previously has been to catch the ferry back to the mainland.Club chairman Brian Ginders said: We very much hope that will encourage even more people, including families with children of a school age, to come along on Tuesday nights to support us as we push for National League success next year given that racing will, as a consequence of the change of start time, finish earlier.Id like to thank the council for agreeing to this change, which I'm sure will please everyone.
