TREVOR Heath is to return to speedway for Coventrys National League team after a three-year absence from the sport.Heath rode for the present Brandon promotion at Mildenhall in 2006 and his last speedway appearances were with Rye House in 2009. He joins Coventry Storm on a 4.18 average.Co-boss Blayne Scroggins said: Trev had great potential and scored well on occasions, and on good equipment he could get amongst the points. NEW Isle of Wight No.1 Tom Perry is set to have the plaster on his broken scaphoid removed on December 31.Perry suffered the injury in the first leg of the National League play-off Final in October whilst racing for Dudley, but has switched to the Islanders for 2013.He said: New Years Eve cant come quick enough as far as I'm concerned, because once the plasters off I can not only look, at long last, for some kind of employment to take me up to the start of the season and earn me some money, but can also get down to doing some serious training and get back into top shape.I had hoped that the break would have healed quicker, but I've just had to be patient and having to take an enforced rest has probably done me good if I'm honest.

LAKESIDE have completed their team for 2013 by confirming Purfleet returns for Kim Nilsson, Robert Mear and Richie Worrall. All three were part of the Hammers squad this year although Worrall missed the second half of the season due to injury and the Hammers have reached agreement with his parent club Scunthorpe to make him a full asset.Lakeside co-promoter Jon Cook said: We are delighted to get our men, and its the seven riders we have wanted since the points limit was passed. We have the bulk of the team that got us into the top two of the table at the time of Lee Richardsons death and who then put in the sterling work immediately after to take the League points that ultimately won us a place in the play-offs, which for us was a victory in itself. We feel it gives us strength in depth, particularly at home, but importantly also at the three or four clubs we have targeted for away wins that are necessary to reach the play-offs.(SPEEDWAY 6)
