With the Scuderia Italia’s Ferrari 550 Maranello, Matteo Bobbi took the FIA GT Championship title in 2003. This time around, the driver from Milan had a chance to debut on board the Ferrrai 360 during a private test session with the Risi Competition team.
The test session took place on the Texas World Speedway track for the 12 hours of Sebring - two different cars but with a lot in common: power, reliability and speed.
Matteo immediately felt comfortable with the car and is very optimistic about the 12 hours of Sebring which gets the green light on Saturday March 20th at 10:30.am.
Matteo Bobbi“We followed the program and this is what counts in a test session.Ihad never driven a Ferrari 360 and due to this , the team gave memore time on Monday’s test session. On Monday,I tested with the2003 car to get to know the car better. In fact, we worked on the set upand the tyres. I immediately had a good impression of the car butwhen I drove the 2004 version of the Ferrari 360, I was left in awe.We lowered the times without any problems and we checked what thebest set up would be for Sebring. Ferrari together with Pirelli did agreat job and they have given us a car that is able to beat our rivals:the Porsches that arein the lead.
"The team is very united and motivated and day after day myrelationship with my team mates Anthony Lazzaro and Ralf Kellenersgrows. The Ferrari is a winning car and we have everything we need todo well.
"I am anxiously waiting for my first 12 hours of Sebring. In themeantime, I’m training to be in tip top shape for this important event.”,
