The Celtic Speed team is gearing up for its strongest campaign to date in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB, with a three-car team headed by 2012 race winner Rory Butcher and championship newcomer Stefan di Resta.Butcher, who finished fifth overall in the final 2012 standings, will be joined by fellow Scot di Resta who will step up to make his Carrera Cup debut. Stefan, the younger brother of Formula 1 racer Paul, started car racing at the beginning of last year after a successful karting career. After a season in the Celtic Speed-backed Scottish Mini Cooper Cup, di Resta will now graduate to the Carrera Cup GB. Meanwhile, the team is now seeking a third driver to complete the line-up.To demonstrate the teams on-going commitment to the Carrera Cup GB, the team will shortly relocate to a base in the Midlands. While the squad remains strongly Scottish in its outlook and make-up, a Midlands base will bring many logistical benefits for both the team and its drivers. For 2014, the team is targeting an expansion with a campaign in the Porsche Supercup as well as the Carrera Cup GB. Alan Keith will continue in his role as team manager, working with the same crew of engineer s and mechanics. Were planning to give Rory the best possible chance to challenge for the overall title and we are very excited about Stefan signing with us for 2013, said the teams senior race engineer Paul Leach.
