(SPEEDWAY 1)POLISH star Grzegorz Zengota is returning to the Elite League in 2013 to join Coventry.The 24-year-old becomes the Bees’ final signing for the new season having previously lined-up for parent club Swindon in 2010.Coventry chief Mick Horton said: “I really think this is a good signing for us. Zengi comes highly recommended, he was well thought-of at Swindon and I’ve spoken to Scott (Nicholls) who rates him as well and feels he can do the job.“He is a rider who is going in the right direction. He’s young, hungry, he wants to do well and he wanted to come to Coventry, and all of those things bode well for us.”(SPEEDWAY 2)BIRMINGHAM have confirmed the signing of Australian ace Jason Doyle for the 2013 season.Doyle was part of Elite League title-winning squads in both 2011 (Poole) and 2012 (Swindon) and will now double-up for the Perry Barr club whilst also racing for Somerset in the Premier League.Doyle told the Birmingham Mail: “I want to thank Graham Drury and Phil Morris for giving me the opportunity to ride for Birmingham and I hope it will be a third straight Elite League title for me.“I’m so happy to sign for them because they are only down the road from my home in Swindon and I like the Birmingham track, I always enjoy riding there.”(SPEEDWAY 3)TREBLE British Champion Chris Harris is the fourth rider to be announced for the Ben Fund Bonanza at Berwick on March 9.Harris, who moves to Birmingham in the Elite League this season, is a favourite at Shielfield Park from his Premier League days and other Open meeting appearances.He said: “The Ben Fund is a great thing and helps riders who are out injured, it’s a good cause to be in and a good way to start the season.“I think it’s my first meeting of the season and it is on a track I like. I’ve won meetings there in the past and I also won the GP qualifier they had last year. I’d like to get back the track record I lost as well.”(SPEEDWAY 4)STOKE will again be the staging venue for the National League Fours this season.The allocation of the major event to Loomer Road was confirmed at the league’s AGM on Tuesday, and will be one of several titles at that level to be defended by Mildenhall.Potters promoter Dave Tattum was satisfied with the outcome of the AGM and is looking forward to the new campaign.He said: “It was a very positive meeting and I’m really pleased to have been allocated the National League Fours for a second season.
