Legends Cars - Scottish Champion goes National as grid grows

Reigning Scottish Legends Cars Champion Jamie Clarke will move up into the National Championship for the 2004 season. Clarke, who has just two full seasons of racing under his belt, won the Scottish Championship in the last race of the season after a year long battle with double champion Colin Noble.  Clarke has also gained a great deal of respect outside of the Scottish Championship by twice representing his country at the World Championships in America.  On his first visit to Infineon Raceway he took third place (as a Semi Pro) and last year entered the Pro ranks and finished fourth.

Joining Jamie in the National Championship will be his father Jim who has also shown pace in his outings.  Like Jamie, Jim has a strong world ranking and took fifth position in the Masters’ World final at Infineon last year.

Registrations for the Championship are mounting with at least with seven brand new drivers to the formula expected to contest the newcomers' Rookie Trophy.  The latest drivers to commit to Legends for 2004 are former V-Sports racer and Rallyman John Stant, who brings backing from Nestle’s Cheerios brand, and Arena Essex Group A Hot Rod star Steve Mills.  Former XR3 racer Colin Chadwick will also join the championship full time.
