The Lola T96/50’s last race was in 2001 in the Euro Series Championship.Thomas Biagi and Gabriele Gardel were behind the wheel of this car andthey competed with GP Racing.

The car was then later replaced by the Lola B99/ 50 and the latter has nowbeen used for the championship. The single seater that was driven byGabriele Gardel hasbeen passed on to Uccio Magliona.  UccioMagliona competed in the prototype categories in the 70’s and 80’s andpresently is the CEO and founder of the Franco Di Suni Race track inSardegna,Italy .

At the Origiano factory, GP Racing’s technicians overhauled the car and putin an Alfa Romeo 6 cylinder engine with 350 horsepower. Besides the engine,none of original pieces were replaced. Uccio will have the chance to racewith the same car that Gabriele Gardel and GP Racing used in the 2000 and2001 championship.
