BAM! posted the third-quickest GT time during the first official practice yesterday for the 2004 Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring. Mike Rockefeller covered the 3.7-mile Sebring (Fla.) International Raceway road course in two minutes 5.950 seconds, just one-half second behind the class leader. The lap time was gratifying, after the team logged five late nights preparing the year-old No. 43 YES Network Porsche 911 GT3 RS to replace the team's 2004 car, which was damaged in a crash on March 12.

Rockenfeller will share driving duty with Leo Hindery and Peter Baron.

"It's fun to be back in it," Hindery said. "The car is just in remarkable shape, given all that the guys had to do with it over the week. Mike Rockenfeller is running really very, very good times. I just need a little bit more time with this new transmission, but the car is in fine shape and the crew is certainly ready for it. Maybe Mike and Peter and I can finally do something fun here."

BAM! received a valuable boost from the competition, when the Flying Lizard team provided extensive support and spare parts to help rebuild the BAM! race car for this week's race.

BAM! is supporting the annual Motorsports Ministries silent auction at Sebring International Raceway. Fans will have an opportunity to bid on driver suits worn by Leo Hindery, Jr. and Peter Baron in the 2003 24 Heures du Mans, Hindery's distinctive YES Network helmet and a pair of driver shoes, also worn at Le Mans.
