The quadruple Grand Prix champion - one of the greatest drivers in the history of motor sport - will be lending his expertise and wealth of experience to the Uniroyal brand.  Uniroyal's Rain Tyre technology combines advanced materials with unique optimised designs and provides outstanding performance in the wet, as well as dry weather.   Given Alain's glittering career on the track, his technical tyre advice will prove invaluable and he is already working with the Uniroyal team on new products to be launched in 2004.

Uniroyal is also the major sponsor of the Uniroyal Team Challenge (UTC), which gives drivers the opportunity to enjoy close, endurance racing in identical cars. Using special race-bred VW/Audi-powered Beetle replica cars, teams of drivers compete in races ranging from 5 - 25 hours at some of Europe's finest race venues, including Silverstone, Brands Hatch and Spa Francorchamps. Speaking at the 25 hour race at Spa Alain Prost said: "It is a very good idea because for very low costs a lot of people can drive on the track.  It is very good for motorsport."

Every car in UTC is built to the exact same specification - sleek Beetle-styled bodies sit on a tubular steel frame powered by mid-mounted 1800cc, 130bhp VW/Audi engines -providing close exciting racing for drivers and spectators with just metres between the leading cars after five hours of racing. 

Traditionally, motor racing has required huge budgets or very limited time on the track.  UTC offers a combination of opportunities not offered anywhere else in UK motor racing - enjoyable, competitive racing with low costs and masses of track time.

All UTC race cars use "standard" Uniroyal Rainsport 1 tyres giving excellent grip, outstanding all weather performance and high levels of durability for long distance racing.
