A few days after the first race of the Clio Italian Cup in Vallelunga, Luca Casadei, who was on the podium in the under 25 category, was behind the wheel of the Clio for a test session in Magione on Saturday March 20, 2004.
Although he had never driven on this track with this type of car before, Casadei was able to set very interesting times. At the end of the session, he was one of the fastest drivers with 1’21’’10.

“It was a very satisfying test session. My confidence with this kind of car has improved a lot thanks to Michel Rangoni; the team manager’s great advice. We worked hard on the camber and on the suspensions. We managed to continuously lower our time and always used old tyres.
It’s unfortunate we had a minor problem with the engine that didn’t allow me to continue using my car - however I was able to switch to my team-mate Pedalà’s car and thus managed to finish the scheduled programme.
The next race will be in Varano on April 4th and I hope to be in tip top shape and to get positive results.”
