During the few last days Zele Racing mechanics were busy to catch up with the tight time schedule caused by the late arrival of the two Lola chassis at the beginning of March.
Team principal Michael Zele: "Although we are goingthrough a hard time, as we did not have the opportunity to prepare thecars during the winter, I am very satisfied with the progress so far. Weexpect to be ready to go with at least one of our cars during the nextweek. The second chassis should be finished in no later than ten days.Both cars were actually in a very good shape, but it takes time, to havethem ready in the way we are used to. We want to be competitive andreliable from the start."
The Austrian based squad has chosen to miss out the first collective testsin Vallelunga (Italy) on the 30th and 31st of March. Michael Zele: "Wedecided to give ourselves a bit more time in order to have everythingready for the first race, before we start our test-programme. Further weare still waiting for the final decision of our sponsors, which will alsoreflect on our final driver line-up."
Currently Zele-Racing is concentrating on the reassembly and preparationof both cars in order to be ready to start the test-programme. Dependingon the weather forecasts the first tests of the team will be held in theCzech Republic or in Spain. Considering Spain Zele-Racing plans to sharethe track in Valencia with the Draco Junior Team.
The presentation of the Zele-Racing-Superfund-Euro-3000-team will be on1st April at 8:00 p.m. in the new event-hall in Wolfsberg (Austria).at the same time the Pirelli-Lavanttal-Rallye will be launched.
