Seb Morris heads into the opening three rounds of the inaugural BRDC Formula 4 Championship at Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit this weekend, 27th/28th April, confident of a successful start to his title campaignso much so, the Welsh 17-year-old is eyeing nothing short of victory.Reunited with the Hillspeed team which ran the British Racing Drivers Club Rising Star to main season and Winter Series success in Ginetta Junior, the Marford-based teenager goes into the first race meeting of the F4 season buoyed by very strong performances in pre-season testing.Although a planned outing at Snetterton in Norfolk on Tuesday, 23rd April, had to be canned due to an accident in which the teams race transporter suffered a tyre blow-out en-route to the track, Seb is more than happy with the preparations made so far and cant wait for the racing to begin.

All of the testing weve done has gone really well, said the 2012 Protyre Formula Renault Winter Series Champion, To be honest, Im not too bothered we had to miss the run at Snetterton as weve already been there in the car and I know the track so there wasnt a lot to gain. I actually quite like it were not showing our hand too soon before Silverstone.Its really unfortunate what happened with the team truck on the way to Snetterton, there was a tyre blow-out and it ended up hitting an Armco barrier. The main thing is nobody was injured, thats the most important thing.

With BRDC Formula 4 expecting a grid of 24 cars for its first ever race meeting this weekend at the home of the British Grand Prix, competition will be fierce and Sebwho continues as the official ambassador for Ginetta Cars in 2013isnt taking the challenge he will face lightly.That said, the Abbey Gate College student, who is also part of the MSA Academy, will undoubtedly begin the season as one of the expected front-runners and especially so considering he has won a motor racing title in each of the last three seasons.

We head to Silverstone feeling really positive, nobody has tested the F4 car there in the dry so well all be starting on a level playing field on Friday when we test, he added, I think were better prepared for this season than we were last year in BARC Renault, so Im expecting a strong start.In terms of the physicality of the driving, the F4 is a lot more physical than the Renault I raced last year but its not any quickerthe corner speeds are about the same. Its more demanding on your arms and neck though, so Ive been training hard on those areas. Hopefully, all of the hard work weve been putting in will pay off this weekend.Following general testing at Silverstone GP Circuit on Friday, 26th April, qualifying for the opening three rounds of the 2013 BRDC Formula 4 Championship will take place at 10.40 on Saturday, 27th April, with race one beginning at 14.40. Races two and three follow on Sunday, 28th April, at 11.55 and 15.05 respectively.
