NEWCASTLE snatched a late League Cup point at Redcar despite the early withdrawal of heat-leader Richie Worrall following a first-ride crash. The Diamonds had been emphatic winners on their previous visit to the South Tees Motorsports Park, but were 32-46 down after thirteen races before 5-1s in the last two races brought the final gap down to six points.Newcastle boss George English said: We said these Bears were a better side than earlier in the season and tonight they proved that, but our minor but debilitating knock to Richie was a telling point in the result.I'm sure we were still in for the win had he been there to take his full compliment of races, and now sadly it looks like Richie wont make the Plymouth Knockout Cup first leg (on Friday).
