NEWCASTLE are through to the quarter-finals of the Premier League Knockout Cup after completing aggregate victory over Plymouth in a rain-curtailed fixture.Twelve of the fifteen races were possible in the second leg with the Diamonds winning 42.5-29.5 for a 15-point aggregate victorythe half-points coming due to a rare dead heat, which was called between Ludvig Lindgren and Mark Lemon in Heat 3.Newcastle boss George English said: The rain was heavy and whilst not long-lasting made the top surface very greasy and both teams agreed to call it a day, but we got our just deserts for racing two good legs and we now look forward to the quarter-final. It was very much a one-off night with the call-off, a delay for sunshine, and a dead heat - you dont get many nights like that at the speedway!(SPEEDWAY 4)
