Brands Hatch hosts rounds three and four of the 2013 Porsche Club Championship with Pirelli, this coming Saturday, May 4th, with the series looking to provide capacity grids for the two 25-minute races with over thirty cars currently entered. Pete Morris took both overall wins in his EMC Motorsport 996 C2 in the season-opener at Donington, the first races on the Pirelli slick tyres the series has moved to for 2013, but he was pushed hard in both races and his rivals will be keen to reign in his early season charge.Morris had to work hard to hold off the hard-charging Tom Bradshaw, making his Porsche Club Championship debut, in race one, and Bradshaw was again closing in with his Boxster in race two before being sidelined with a mechanical issue. The Hartech Boxsters were on the pace last year at Brands, and with Bradshaw setting fastest lap in both races at Donington, he and team-mate Marcus Carniel should be in the thick of the action.Mark Sumpter claimed two podiums at Donington in his Paragon 964 C2, and is confident Brands will be better suited to the older car, and team-mate Adrian Slater is in with a chance of claiming his first podium, having finished fourth in the second race of the season. Mark McAleer was a factor in both races in his 996, while others to watch for include the fast starting Kevin Harrison and Richard Ellis in his 993 C2.A very healthy Class Two line up is headed by John McCullagh, winner of the opening round in his 968 CS and leader of the second race of the day at Donington before retiring, his demise giving Andy Toon his debut class win after just one season of racing. Mark Koeberle should be another to watch for in the races, while the hugely experienced (possibly the only driver at the meeting with contemporary Formula 5000 experience) Brian Robinson makes his seasonal class debut.Qualifying for rounds three and four of the 2013 Porsche Club Championship is at 09.00 on Saturday May 4th, with the two 25-minute races at 12.35 and 17.05.
