TY Proctor has been ruled out of Wolverhamptons Bank Holiday Monday clash with neighbours Birmingham at Monmore Green.Proctor requires x-rays to assess possible nerve damage after aggravating a previous injury when the sides met at Perry Barr earlier this week, and it comes at a time when Wolves also have concerns over Adam Skornicki, with Craig Cook on stand-by to guest if required.Wolves promoter Chris Van Straaten said: These injuries could hardly have come at a worse time for us because we are facing a form side in Birmingham. It's a tough enough task to beat them with a full team, this means our task becomes that bit harder. We are going to need the support of the fans to help us in this one.(SPEEDWAY 2)
PLYMOUTH co-promoter Ashley Taylor says team strengthening will take place before the Devils next home fixture in a fortnight.Taylor saw his side slip to their second successive home defeat in the Premier League on Friday, going down 38-52 to Leicester who have taken over at the top of the table.Taylor said: After this weekend, we do not have another meeting until June 7 and it is up to come back on that night with a winning team. There are elements that are under-performing. But the buck stops with us and it is up to us to come up with the riders to make Plymouth a winning team.(SPEEDWAY 3)
EDINBURGH moved up to fourth place in the Premier League with a 56-36 win over reigning champions Scunthorpe at Armadale. It was the Monarchs third successive home match with exactly the same scoreline, the victory being led by maximum man Craig Cook and Dutchman Theo Pijper who dropped only one point.Edinburgh chief Alex Harkess said: We probably expected a tougher challenge but we have to be happy with how were riding at the moment.Scunthorpe promoter Rob Godfrey added: There are away meetings that I expect points from, but tonight wasnt one of them. Its hard coming here at the best of times, and its not the best of times for us at the moment.

KENT have carried out extensive track work since their last home outing and expect their riders to be more comfortable when they face Mildenhall on Bank Holiday Monday. The Kings suffered a heavy defeat to the Isle of Wight a fortnight ago before being rained-off last Monday, and promoter Len Silver has now laid a further 30 tons of red shale as he looks to provide a smoother surface.Silver said: I have been very unhappy about the way the track has deteriorated after only a few races and Steve Boxall and myself, along with some of our keen volunteers, have been working hard to cure the problem. It stemmed from the chalk base containing some large flint stones and these have now been removed and a new surface of Leicester shale laid this week. I am hoping that new signing, Benji Compton, will find the track exciting to ride.
