TAI Woffinden has completed his charity cycle ride from Wolverhampton to Cardiff in the build-up to Saturdays British Grand Prix.Woffinden finished ahead of schedule despite wet weather, and rounded off with a lap of the Millennium Stadium accompanied by Paralympic Gold medal-winning cyclist Mark Colbourne MBE.Woffinden, who is targeting a figure of 20,000 for Cancer Research UK, said: I saw how rapidly my dad deteriorated with cancer three years ago and it wasn't nice for me or my mum to see that. My success so far this year, and this project, is all dedicated to dad.Cardiff is obviously a very special event and Im really looking forward to Saturday. Ive enjoyed my ride and it was just fantastic to have the support of such an accomplished sportsman as Mark but all eyes are now on the GP and Im totally ready.Donations can still be made by texting WOFF50 (and the amount) to 70070 or by visiting Woffindens Just Giving page http://www.justgiving.com/taiwoffinden01008

WORKINGTON are looking to Richard Lawson and Rene Bach to continue their remarkable Premier League Pairs record at Somerset on Friday.Bach was a member of the Comets winning duo last year, which made it six wins out of fourteen staging of the event since the sport returned to Derwent Park in 1999.Workington boss Tony Jackson said: Since the event was moved to Somerset on Grand Prix eve, which was a master-stroke by the organisers, our record has been good. In the five events where we have appeared we have made the semi-final every time, going on to win twice - in 2008 and then again last year. Obviously that record cant go on forever, but we will be going all out to maintain it if we canalthough with every race being like a Heat 15 it will be tough, as always.

However, he believes he is hurting both himself and the club by continuing.Just after I took the call from Robert, I received the news that THJ had crashed in Sweden proving that it never rains but it pours.(SPEEDWAY 4)
