LEICESTER raced to their sixth straight win in the Premier League with a 46-44 victory at Sheffielddespite being without Swedish star Magnus Karlsson. The Lions had to use a National League rider to cover for Karlsson, and James Sarjeant scored a crucial five points, with skipper Kauko Nieminen splitting Tigers guest Olly Allen and Ricky Wells in the decisive final race.Leicester co-promoter Alan Jones said: It was a big result for us at Owlerton where we have rarely performed in the past. Without our in-form heat leader Magnus Karlsson the task was doubly difficult but every member of the team dug deep to spring a surprise result against the odds. We called upon James to guest for us at Berwick and home to Ipswich recently and liked the way he presented himself. When it became known that Magnus was needed by his Swedish club our only option was to engage a National League guest, and we decided to ask James to help us out again. He did not let us down with a win and a second place, and on this evidence it won't be long before he receives his big chance to step up into the Premier League.(SPEEDWAY 5)
