(SPEEDWAY 1)RUSSIAN racer Emil Sayfutdinov extended his World Championship lead with victory in Saturdays British Grand Prix at Cardiff.Sayfutdinov withstood a dramatic late challenge from Coventrys Krzysztof Kasprzak which ultimately saw the Pole drop to third place as Kings Lynn No.1 Niels-Kristian Iversen moved up to second.Kasprzak had earlier lowered the Millennium Stadium track record, but there was disappointment for home hero Tai Woffinden who crashed out of the meeting in Heat 14.Sayfutdinov said: Im happy with the result. Im just looking for points and taking it heat by heat, so to be leading the World Championship is a great feeling.(SPEEDWAY 2)TAI Woffinden is targeting a swift return to racing despite suffering a badly broken collarbone in the British Grand Prix on Saturday. The Wolverhampton star came down in his fourth ride at the Millennium Stadium and shattered part of the bone to his right collarbonebut he still wants to race in the next round of the series at Gorzow on June 15.Woffinden said: I'm hoping to go private on Monday to have an operation to get the bone put back in place, and I'll do everything I can go make the next Grand Prix at Gorzow in a fortnight.Even though I crashed it wasn't a disastrous GP as I still got seven points. I'm trying to think positive - I'm still in second place in the standings.(SPEEDWAY 3)LAKESIDE have confirmed a reduced admission deal to help fans attend two home meetings in five days this week. The Hammers host Coventry in a hastily-arranged Elite League clash on Monday, with Poole following up on Friday, and those who attend the Bees match will receive admission for the visit of the Pirates for 10 on production of their ticket. Coventry fans can enter the Purfleet venue for 10 if they bring one of their home-meeting programmes from 2013.Lakeside co-promoter Jon Cook said: We hope this offer will reward our regular hardcore of supporters who have turned out in, frankly, rubbish weather conditions so far this season to support us and will also encourage more fans to take in Monday's meeting as well as our normal Friday race night.Whilst we don't expect a great many Bees fans to attend, given the short notice, we feel those that do also need rewarding for supporting their team in person. Both meetings are going to be close affairs and it's great to be back promoting Speedway sooner than we had expected.(SPEEDWAY 4)SOMERSET manager Garry May is desperate for the club to keep their recent momentum going when they return to Premier League action this week. The Rebels gained an emphatic away win at Scunthorpe on Bank Holiday Monday and then secured victory in the Premier League Pairs on Friday thanks to Jason Doyle and Josh Grajczonek. They face two matches in two days this week as they visit Redcar on Thursday before hosting Rye House 24-hours later.May said: Of course our victory in Fridays Premier League Pairs Championship was something very special, but we have had our moment of celebration and we mustnt allow that to become a distraction as we return to league action this week.We showed what we are capable of with our stunning win at Scunthorpe, and we need to build on that starting with our trip to Redcar in order to maintain our push for a top six play-off spot.(FIXTURES)SUNDAY JUNE 2:NATIONAL TROPHY: Mildenhall v Buxton 4.30KAUKO NIEMINEN TESTIMONIAL: Leicester 4pmMONDAY JUNE 3:SKY SPORTS ELITE LEAGUE: Belle Vue v Eastbourne 7.30, Lakeside v Coventry 7.30, Peterborough v Wolverhampton OFFNATIONAL LEAGUE: Kent v Kings Lynn 6.30TUESDAY JUNE 4:NATIONAL LEAGUE KO CUP Q/F 1st leg: Dudley v Buxton 7.30NATIONAL TROPHY: Isle of Wight v Stoke 7pmWEDNESDAY JUNE 5:SKY SPORTS ELITE LEAGUE: Birmingham v Belle Vue 7.30NATIONAL LEAGUE: Kings Lynn v Buxton 7.30
