Max Angelelli held off Scott Pruett in the closing laps of the Food City 250 at Phoenix International Raceway to give SunTrust Racing its first-ever Rolex Sports Car Series win on Saturday night.

Angelelli took the wheel of the No. 10 Pontiac Riley early in the race when Wayne Taylor brought it in during the second full-course caution. Angelelli then piloted the No. 10 Pontiac into second-place and claimed the lead when polesitter Max Papis pitted on lap 82 to hand the CompUSA Chip Ganassi Racing No. 01 Lexus Riley over to Pruett.

Angelelli and Pruett ran in first and second place for nearly all of theremaining laps, with Pruett making several attempts to put the CompUSA Lexus back in front before the two hour, 45 minute time limit drew to a close. But Angelelli was able to hold off his advances, giving SunTrust Racing its first Rolex Series win.

Cort Wagner and Kelly Collins scored their second-straight podium finishwith third place in the Rx.com G&W Motorsports No. 81 BMW Doran, moving the pair of drivers into the Daytona Prototype points lead in the unofficial standings.

Forty race cars on Phoenix International Raceway's tight 1.51-mile roadcourse made for an action-packed race, with the caution flag coming outseven times for 35 laps during the 133-lap race. Several teams in the hunt for the North American Road Racing Championship were taken out  of the race early due to on-track incidents including the Doran-Lista Racing No. 27 Lexus Doran, both of the SpeedSource Ford Multimatics and the Southard Motorsports No. 7 BMW Fabcar.

Boris Said and Bill Auberlen won the GT class in their Prototype Technology Group No. 21 BMW M3, while Kyle Petty enjoyed his weekend off from the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series by taking second place in the GT class with Gunnar Jeannette in the Gunnar Racing No. 45 Porsche GT3 RS. The Racer's Group No. 66 Porsche GT3 RS rounded out the GT podium with drivers Chris Gleason, Ian James and RJ Valentine.

The battle for the SGS class win came down to the checkered flag, with the TPC Racing No. 36 Porsche GT3 Cup of Randy Pobst and Michael Levitas edging out the AASCO Motorsports No. 16 Porsche of Craig Stanton and David Murry by only 0.353 seconds. TPC Racing put a second entry on the class podium with the No. 36 Porsche of Andy Lally and Marc Bunting finishing third.

Prototype Technology Group scored a $2,500 bonus in the Acxiom Grand Touring Challenge for being the top qualifier and finisher in the GT class, while TPC Racing picked up a $750 bonus for winning the SGS class.

The Rolex Sports Car Series will return to action next month in the 6 Heures du Circuit Mont-Tremblant at Le Circuit Mont-Tremblant in Quebec, Canada.

ON THE WIN"This is great. The best thing about it is we have formed such a goodfriendship, and we've been running together since 1990. We've never had any success, so I said to him maybe it's me and vice versa. So to win here, it's really, really great. I don't remember throwing up my hands when Cadillac pulled out, if I threw out my hands, it was because I was relieved it was over. It was a tough three-year deal. We knew the program was for three years, so it was tough for everybody. Clearly, I had enough of driving and that side of the business. During 2003, I had a good time, but I had been working with George Koehn in the days of the Cadillac, the next thing we were back racing again.

ON THE FINISHThe Turbo Performance race team really did the job this time. MichaelLevitas got the car in the lead early, and a team effort brought us backfrom a lap down. What a wild, crazy race! We put Hoosier tires on right at the end, that was part of our secret, plus Michael Levitas set up the car so fast on the banking and won the race there.

"We played our plan perfectly. We got a little tripped up because there were a lot of yellows at the start, which other teams could take advantage of.Our strategy was to make one stop; unfortunately a yellow didn't come back to us. The CompUSA guys did a terrific job. We got in and out very quick on the pit stop. We managed to keep our lap, which was big. Then we just worked our way back through traffic, and at the end it was just a shoot out. I was driving as hard as I could, and the Lexus ran great. Max (Papis) did a terrific job. We came up a little short, but we didn't go down without a hard fight. This is the first year for Chip Ganassi Racing (with Felix Sabates) in this series, and the guys that beat us have been in this series for many,  many years."

"The beginning of the race was very hectic because of all the yellows andthe traffic that was out there. Everyone on the CompUSA team has done areally great job. Today was a matter of track position. We got a little bit unlucky in terms of the pit stop. We ended up second, and I think that it was just a matter of track position at the end. Scott (Pruett) drove absolutely amazing at the end, and gave it absolutely everything that he had. We should be very proud because we are creeping up in the championship points. ON RACING AT NIGHT"This was my first time to race at night. The conditions we're verydifficult tonight with traffic. The track changed a lot from practice this morning to the race tonight. ON THE RACE"We had a tough day today. We had some bad luck with yellows and bad luck with incidents that Joe and Jay couldn't do anything about. But the Orbit guys, as usual, hung in there and got the car back on track quickly. We had a chance at the end of the race to get a decent finish, but the officials called for one lap to go, then reversed their decision after I got in the car and did a wave-by. So we lost the wave-by, and that would have given us fifth place instead of seventh. But we still have the points lead going into the next race."

ON THE RACE"We started out pretty good and hung in there through a ton of yellows.About 15 laps into my stint I came into NASCAR turn 3 and somebody had laid oil down pretty bad and the No. 57 car just lost it. It looked like his car was going to go down to the apron, but he came right back up. I was up against the wall to try to miss him, but he hit my left front and broke the upright. The guys did an outstanding job of changing it. After that, it was really good. Given the circumstances, for our first time here, it was a good outing. If we could have erased the 25 laps we lost fixing the suspension, we would have had a really good finish here."

ON THE RACE"We had a really strong car and Mike and Jay did a heck of a job. I got hit right at the beginning - a Daytona Prototype tried to get underneath me, hit the tire barrier and threw the tires into me, spun me out and we lost two laps. But the crew did an outstanding job! After Jay got hit, they put a whole new suspension on the left side and we turned some of the fastest times after that. "

 ON THE RACE"We had a podium car tonight, no question, but we just didn't catch thebreaks tonight. We got a bit unlucky with the pit call, bringing Oswaldo in right before a yellow, and the pit stop took a long time with the air gun failing on the front tire, and we couldn't get the back tire off from the contact, so we ran that entire race with the same right rear tire!"
