Team Catchpole will be running a second car in this years Days of Thunder Championship, based at the Rockingham Motor Speedway. The Corby team will once again be led by Southampton based Phil Weaver, but will be joined by Redditch's Mike Luck when the mighty V8's raw into competitive action on the Rockingham oval on May 2nd. Where as Weaver has contested the championship from the its first year, Luck passed his rookie test a few weeks ago and ran his Catchpole race car for the first time at Rockingham last Wednesday. "He was only a fractionally slower than race winner Colin White," said team mate Weaver. The former Clubmans Sportscar Champion has realistic aims for his rookie season though. "I am looking for consistency and hopefully top ten finishes. I am new to racing so close for so long," he said. Both cars will be appearing at Rockingham's official Days of Thunder media day on April 23rd, sporting their new season livery.
