WSN - Pellegrino tests in Zolder

Matteo Pellegrino’s test session  on the Belgian track in Zolder ended yesterday. The driver from Ravenna, Italy covered about 200 km at a constant speed and at the end of the day set the best time with 1’26’’10.  He is 1 ½ seconds faster than his team-mate Tedeschi.

It was an extremely positive day for Matteo. Thanks to the Vergani team’s hard work, he was able to test with continuity and didn’t have any technical problems.

The next round of the World Series Light Championship will be right on this very same track in Zolder on April 25th, 2004.

Matteo Pellegrino

“Everything went smoothly and I’m very happy about this. The only problem we encountered wasn’t the team’s fault or my fault either. The construction work going on around the track and the strong winds blew some sand on the track. Driving off course lifted up a lot of dust.

I’m pleased that I kept up a good pace and was really fast. With old tyres on, I was steady at 1’27’’10 and with new tyres; I managed to lower my time by a second.

These are pretty good credentials for the next two races scheduled next weekend.”

Best Time: 1’26’’10
