Team PSP ready for the Indy weekend

Shaun Watson Smith and Fariqe Hairuman are both eagerly awaiting the chance to get out on the Indy circuit at Brands with their nimble PETRONAS-backed Impian racers. The first outing for the team at Thruxton showed great potential with little reward; next weekend, the team hope to have more to show for their efforts.

David Wong, Team Principal said: "We had a good first outing at Thruxton; I am very pleased with Fariqe and Shaun's progress. I believe we can mount a serious challenge for podiums this year."

Fariqe Hairuman said: "I enjoyed the Indy circuit when I tested there at the end of last season. I'm looking forward to getting out on the track in the new car."

Shaun Watson Smith said: "I think we can be pretty optimistic for Brands - the new car felt just great at Thruxton and the team has some good things up its sleeve going forward. It's a very competitive series with a great format that mixes everybody up with the reverse grid. The faster guys will always get to the front which makes for lots of overtaking and great racing - I really think we can be up there."
