Bank Holiday Bash at Wimbledon

Spedeworth International will rev up the May Bank Holiday with the Superstox, Stock Rods, Stock Cars, and the Rookie Bangers in action at Wimbledon Stadium, Sunday May 2nd at 6pm.

The crowd-pleasing 1300cc Stock Cars will be contesting round 1 of their Gold Rush Series so fans can expect to see the heavy iron bumpers employed at every opportunity as the race to claim this year's title and prize money gets underway in earnest at Plough Lane.

There's more full contact action on the cards when the ever-popular Superstox take to the track in the opening round of their Daytona Series. The Superstox are firm favourites at Plough Lane where their blend of high-speed racing and aggressive use of the ironwork delivers some memorable racing.

More mangled metal is likely to occur as the Rookie Bangers emerge from the pits and onto the tarmac at Wimbledon. Big fields of cars are the norm for this massively popular formulae and big fields of Bangers at Plough Lane can only mean equally big pile ups all around the circuit as the drivers desperately attempt to keep their old wrecks together long enough to survive the race.

A brief respite from full-contact racing will be on offer in the shape of the Rookie Rods. Designed to give the average person in the street the chance to experience non-contact oval racing without having to break the bank balance to do so, the Rookie Rods have proved very popular with people who fancy "having a go" on the track, leading to big grids of cars and very close racing.

With four formulas in action, ranging from the metal twisting Bangers to the bumper to bumper racing of the Rookie Rods, Spedeworth will ensure that the May Bank Holiday weekend gets off with a real bang at Wimbledon Stadium, Britain's finest stock car racing circuit.
