Storm at Hockenheim

The first appearance of the 2004 specification Storm is at Hockenheim this weekend - the chassis that Jamie crashed at Spa last year has been updated to 2004 specification.  Tom Coronel is back in the 14 car with Patrick Pearce.

The first session yesterday morning was spent setting up the new chassis - but, even with the car having too much of both understeer and oversteer, Tom set a time of 1.38.8 - 5th fastest.  Changes were made in the break, Tom went back on track and declared the car fantastic - 'very easy to drive' - and was fastest (on old tyres) until he came in to hand over to Patrick - his rolling lap computer time (in theory without traffic) was 1.37.1 and equal to fastest of the day - his eclectic (taking his best times of each lap) was 1.36.8.  On his way out of the pit lane, Patrick accidentally caused the engine to over-rev - the consequence of which is a change of engine overnight - and, under the new regulations, we will start from the back of the grid!

Eurosport - warm up at 08.55 (07.55 UK) on Sunday with race highlights at 23.55 (00.55 UK).
