The 50 Cent race car goes head-to-head with Team Darkness
Rap superstar 50 Cent is backing Days of Thunder driver Steve Hobday on Sunday 6th June. The 50 Cent race car will line up alongside the Team Darkness machine of Shaun Richardson in the ultimate battle of the bands on Europe’s fastest race circuit.
50 Cent, the worlds leading rap and hip hop artist and a huge fan of US style oval racing, will be headlining the second Days of Thunder event on June 6th in his only outdoor concert in the UK this year.
Renegade Racing’s Steve Hobday, who took two top ten finishes on the 2nd May in his first ever Days of Thunder meeting, is extremely pleased to have landed such a high profile name to run on his race car. “This is fantastic news,” said Steve Hobday. “The whole team are really excited about running on 6th June with 50 Cent on the car. 50 is a big fan of NASCAR and this style of racing and I’m sure we’ll give him something to cheer about before he goes out on the Rockingham stage. Perhaps he’ll even write a rap about us!”
The Rockingham stage will feature performances by 50 Cent, G-Unit and Radio 1 DJ Tim Westwood. A race and music ticket is £34.95 or an upgrade is available to a special very limited edition Platinum pass at £59.95 which includes access to the VIP Front Stage area. Tickets for the 50 Cent concert* are available from Ticketmaster on 08702 647 625 or ticketmaster.co.uk
Race only tickets are available at £14.95 for an adult and £5 for children (16 and under). Race only tickets can be bought from the Rockingham box office on 08700 134044 or on rockingham.co.uk
* Content of the concert may not be suitable for young children
