Reece Somerfield Set For Michelin Ginetta GT4 SuperCup Return

Reece Somerfield has confirmed a return to the Michelin Ginetta GT4 SuperCup in what will be the third season in the British Touring Car Championship support series for the 25 year old from Pelsall, West Midlands.Having a top finish of fourth place in 2013, the Civil Engineer aims to secure podium results and race wins over the forthcoming season, Somerfield said; "I am looking forward to returning to the Michelin Ginetta GT4 SuperCup for 2014 - Ginetta provide excellent cars at affordable costs and competitive drivers and I can't wait to get back behind the wheel at Brands Hatch."The Forkers Civil and Ground Engineering backed driver, who finished third in the 2012 Ginetta G50 Cup, was awarded Ginetta's 'Spirit Of The Championship' title in that same year, and rounded out the 2013 Michelin Ginetta GT4 SuperCup inside the top ten, despite only graduating into the main championship from round two at Donington Park.Ashley Gallagher, Ginetta Championships Manager said; "Reece now has a strong season in the G55 under his belt, as well as extensive experience of the Michelin Ginetta GT4 SuperCup circuits, so he should be able to really challenge for championship points. He's a popular character in the paddock and we look forward to seeing him again."The first round of the 2014 Michelin Ginetta GT4 SuperCup gets underway over the weekend 29 / 30 March at Brands Hatch Indy Circuit in Kent.
