Hartley moves from MWR to Superbikes

Mark Webster and the MWR Kawasaki team are delighted at the news of their former rider in 2013 stepping up to the elite British Superbike class with Halsall Kawasaki racing for 2014. Harry joined the MWR team last season and competed in the National Superstock 600 Championship, he gained in knowledge and experience as the season progressed and will now step up to the MCE British Superbike class as the youngest ever BSB rider.

Harry ended his season with the MWR Kawasaki team on a high note at Brands Hatch securing his only podium of the year but a stunning second place. This left him full of confidence for the forthcoming race season and his new challenge in the British Superbike class.

Team Owner Mark Webster - "It's fantastic news to hear that Harry has been signed by Halsall Racing to ride in the Superbike class for this year. I've heard a lot of people saying it's too soon for him but I totally disagree. If you have the talent, which he has, it is never too soon.

Harry amazed us last year with a number of performances on our Kawasaki ZX-6R, considering he'd never ridden a four stroke before it would not surprise me if he were to replicate those performances on the Superbike this year.

He can have a full year of learning and still be only 18 at the start of next year, what a position to be in.

It also shows that all the hard work put in by everyone that worked with him at MWR Kawasaki has paid off. To be able to put him in a position that has seen him sign for a Superbike team is job done!

I would like to wish Harry every success on the big bike and can't wait to see him in action at Brands."

Harry Hartley - "I would like to thank Mark and all at MWR Kawasaki for their part in my 2013 campaign, it was really good to work with them. I am really looking forward to my new season and the step up to British Superbikes with the Halsall Racing Team, I can't wait!"
