Team Betterlife, Li Chao to Team up with Asia Racing Team again

Asia Racing Team has announced the renewal of its long-time partnership with Team Betterlife, the racing arm of Porsche Betterlife Group, for the 2014 season of Porsche Carrera Cup Asia.

This is the third consecutive year that Asia Racing Team will serve as the official racing team for the Team Betterlife. Team Betterlife was founded by Betterlife Group in 2008 and it was one of the first Porsche Dealer teams in PR China. Beijing BetterLife Import & Export Group is one of the leading multi-brand dealer groups in PR China specialized in distribution, servicing, parts supply and consulting of premium car brands. In 2012 Team Betterlife and Asia Racing Team hold hands to form a strong and successful partnership in Porsche Carrera Cup Asia.

In 2012 Wang Jian Wei recorded his second podium finish in his career at Ordos and British racer Ben Baker finished third in the last round of 2013 in Shanghai. Thirty three-year-old Li Chao joins Team Betterlife with a wealth of experience gained in touring car and GT racing. He progressed to the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia in 2012 via the VW Scirocco R Cup China and China Formula Grand Prix single seater series. In 2013 he finished third in Porsche Carrera Cup Asia Class B and completed a number of France GT Championship rounds for Team JR.

With a fleet of brand new Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (Type 991) racing cars, the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia powers towards its 12th season as the undisputed leader in regional sportscar competition with its most prestigious calendar to date.

The Porsche Carrera Cup Asia season kicks off in Malaysia on March 28 as part of 2014 Formula One Malaysia Grand Prix.
