HRDC makes a flying start to the 2014 historic race season

The Historic Drivers Racing Club is set for a bumper Season in 2014. Already in receipt of a record number of driver applications, the entry lists for the HRDC's first event at Silverstone on 5 April are already filling fast.

Julius Thurgood, Founder and Race Director of the HRDC, comments: "The HRDC enjoyed a fully-subscribed race season in 2013 and it looks as though our ethos of returning to 'Old School Racing' is rapidly winning favour with many competitors in the historic racing arena.

"Our policy is to keep costs down in terms of entry fees, but to give our competitors maximum value for money on raceday. We pride ourselves on looking after the small details, that all add up to make a great difference in the enjoyment of a race event. There is no lavish hospitality offered with the HRDC package, but the enthusiasm and camaraderie that is evident at our race meetings signifies that we are hitting the sweet spot in terms of competitor satisfaction - 2014 is shaping up to be another cracking season for the HRDC."

It is indicative of the support which the HRDC currently enjoys that its track day at Goodwood on 3 March sold out in just one day!

The grids are also filling up fast for the HRDC races at Silverstone on 5 April. HRDC 'Touring Greats' for pre-1960 historic Touring Cars is already two-thirds full and the HRDC 'Allstars' race for pre-1966 Sports, GT & Touring Cars is well past the halfway mark.
