MotorSport Vision (MSV) has launched its 2014 championships at Brands Hatch, including the Pirelli-backed GT Cup Championship and Power Maxed MINI Challenge.
Cars from both series took to the Kent track last week at the ever-popular media day, hosted by MSV chief executive Jonathan Palmer and attended by the country’s leading motorsport publications.
The GT Cup Championship – now in its sixth year of a Pirelli partnership – uses the Italian firm’s renowned slick DH and DM compounds as well as wet tyres in WH and WS specification. More than 30 cars from a variety of sports car manufacturers are expected on the grid this year. The Power Maxed MINI Challenge, backed by Pirelli for a third year, uses DH slick and WH wet tyres.
