WSN Olivier Pla signs with Carlin

French driver Olivier Pla has signed with Carlin Motorsport for the rest of the Season. Pla debuted in the World Series by Nissan with the Italian squad RC Motorsport. The new agreement with the British Team is valid for the rest of the Season.

Pla has replaced Michael Keohane in the Team, and he is delighted with this new deal:” I have secured my future in this Series, and I’m very happy with the new situation.”

Pla will be now playing a front-role alongside the current Series leader, Tiago Monteiro.

Enrique Bernoldi (GD Racing) lost his leadership in Zolder, after Monteiro took a double win, but the Brazilian is very confident about the next race weekend: “I will try to recover my position in France”.

Gommendy, Jouanny, Ravier, Vilariño, Kartikheyan or Kovalainen, are some of the drivers that have proved their level in this high single seater competition.

The World Series by Nissan will host its third meeting in Magny Cours (France). All three categories will be racing this weekend. Today, the Teams World Series by Nissan and the World Series Light will be on duty for the Collective Test. In the World Series by Nissan category, it is already confirmed that Vergani Formula and Belmondo Racing will not take part in this meeting. Again, lack of sponsors has left its drivers without a drive.

Giaccomo Ricci and Tom Dillman - new drivers in the Formula Junior

The 1600 Spanish Formula Junior Championship and the World Series Light will be part of the event as well. In the Formula Junior, the Italian driver Giaccomo Ricci, one of the main competitors in this Series last year, is back in the grid.

Tom Dillmann, a young Belgian driver, will be also making his debut in this launch category.
