Steven Liquorish will race with Team Parker Racing in this season’s Porsche Carrera Cup GB and will contest the Pro-Am2 title with the team headed by Stuart Parker.Liquorish will graduate to the Carrera Cup GB after three seasons as a front-runner in the GT3 Cup Challenge with the Parker team. He was runner-up in 2012 and again in 2013. “This is another big step for me,” said the Oxford-based racer. “I’m absolutely looking forward to it and the chance to race at Le Mans in June is a big tick in the box. I’m also going to be learning about left foot braking.” Liquorish will be backed by Aircharge and Connection.“It’s a step up for Steven and I think he’ll go really well in Pro-Am2,” said Parker. “He’ll get stronger and stronger as the season develops.”The 2014 Carrera Cup GB schedule includes a sensational date on the morning of the Le Mans 24-hour when it runs alongside the Carrera Cup France as the key support race to the famous 24-hour marathon. The balance of the season will, as is customary, support the MSA British Touring Car Championship.
