Adrian Miedzinski handed European FIM Speedway Grand Prix wild card

TORUN WINNER GOES WILD AGAIN

Last year’s Torun FIM Speedway Grand Prix of Poland winner Adrian Miedzinski returns to tackle the sport’s elite when he races at the European FIM Speedway Grand Prix in Bydgoszcz on April 26.

The Polish international has been handed the wild card for the ZKS Polonia Stadium showcase following his sensational performance on hometown track Torun on October 5, which saw him top the rostrum ahead of Greg Hancock, Jaroslaw Hampel and Niels-Kristian Iversen – three of the World Championship’s top four riders.

Miedzinski will be determined to produce a repeat performance at the home of his Polish Ekstraliga club Torun’s arch-rivals and lines up alongside Torun team mates Darcy Ward and Chris Holder.

The 28-year-old wears the famous No.16 race jacket for his big date at one of world speedway’s greatest race tracks.

He is joined in the meeting by track reserves Szymon Wozniak and Pawel Przedpelski, who line up in the No.17 and No.18 race jackets respectively.

Wozniak is a firm favourite at Polish First Division club Bydgoszcz, while Przedpelski is a fast-rising reserve star at Torun.

The referee at the ZKS Polonia Stadium is Craig Ackroyd from Great Britain.

Tickets for the European FIM Speedway Grand Prix are available from www.kupbilet.pl or www.speedwaygp.com.
