Castle Combe Action Days are delighted to announce that a brand new Action Day has been added to the busy 2014 season - KitFest in association with KitCar Magazine - will now be running on Saturday 19th July 2014.
Castle Combe Circuit has a long history with kit cars and kit car manufacturers having launched the Action Day series with the Kit Cars and Specials Action Day back in September 1985.
Director of Castle Combe Action Days, Karen Marshallsay, confirmed: "The Action Day formula has gone from strength to strength over the years with four regular Action Days in the Castle Combe calendar ranging from performance cars to classic and retro and welcoming over 15,000 visitors to the Circuit each year."We are delighted therefore to be welcoming all things kit car including self-built, one-off and replica cars back to Castle Combe in 2014 to stage the very best that this industry has to offer both on and off track."
The event will make full use of the facilities that Castle Combe has to offer including access to both the Paddock and its display areas through to the 1.85 mile international race circuit which has welcomed many famous race drivers including Stirling Moss, Ayrton Senna, David Coulthard, Nigel Mansell over the years.
Tom Saunders of KitCar Magazine who are working in association with Castle Combe on this event advised: "I have been involved with the kit car industry for many years and have always felt that the introduction of live action to a kit car event would be of massive appeal to everyone in the kit car community. "What better way to really appreciate the handling of a kit car than by taking it out on the track?And what better way for a manufacturer to promote their vehicles than by giving on-track demonstrations to prospective customers. And, with plenty of the UK's leading manufacturers already lined up to attend KitFest 2014, visitors really will be able to compare the wide range of available models."
The event will also be hugely popular for kit car clubs and the KitFest organisers have put together a series of attractive display and on track packages to tempt clubs from all over the UK to attend. Display packages are free for pre-booked Owner's Clubs and track time will cost from just £25 so this really is a great value event for all.
Add in drifting displays, a huge trade village, camping opportunities and arrive 'n' drive karting and this is one event you will not want to miss!
Tickets for KitFest at Castle Combe Circuit on Saturday 19th July 2014 are available from just £10 in advance with free entry for children aged 16 years and under. Individuals attending in their kit cars will also gain free admission and free 'display' parking. Track sessions start from just £25.
