Gulf Racing rolls out ELMS 2014 entries

Gulf Racing kick off the 2014 season at the Paul Ricard Circuit in the south of France next week, rolling out new machinery for the official Test of the 2014 ELMS championship.

The #86 Porsche 997 RSR of Mike Wainwright will be present in its striking new Gulf Racing livery, Mike will be joined at the test by his Pro Driver partner Adam Carroll, while the Silver driver in that line-up is yet to be finalised for the season the pair will conduct the pre-season running and first roll out of the car.

In the newly updated #85 Aston Martin Vantage GTE car of Roald Goethe, he and Pro driving partner Stuart Hall are joined by Daniel Brown. Dan joins the team for the test and the ELMS season, giving the sole Aston Martin on the grid and the 2013 WEC Pro-Am championship winning crew a great chance of results this year.

Team manager Matt beers said ‘We are looking forward to a great season of racing in the ELMS GTE class, this championship is the cornerstone of endurance GT racing in Europe and we are very happy to be back again working with our tyre partner Michelin and the ACO in such a professional environment. The grids are strong, so we know it will be a tough season, this is the first step towards our ambition of returning the Gulf Racing brand and team to Le Mans ’.
