Facu Regalia to make GP2 debut

The Argentinean driver, resident of Madrid will debut in the GP2 season opener in Bahrain driving a Hilmer Motorsport (SFIF1) GP2 Team car.

After two collective test sessions held in Bahrain and Abu Dhabi in March during which he worked intensively to prepare for the season, and despite some engine issues, Regalia and the team finished satisfied with their qualifying and race simulations and the competitiveness achieved.

At the Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir, practice takes place at 11.00 (CET), and then qualifying is due to start at 19.00 for first time taking place at night here in Bahrain. Race one is scheduled on Saturday at 12.10 and race two, on Sunday, at 13.15. Pirelli has chosen its Orange Hard and Yellow Soft tires compounds for this round.
