22 - AXCIL JEFFERIES
The first GP2 race for Axcil innocently ended just after 2 laps for a collision with an other car that hit him from behind and knocked him against the barriers concluding his performance. Luckily Axcil came out of the crash without any damage but his car was seriously compromised. The opportunity for the young driver to gain experiences on a Gp2 car and to learn the usage of Pirelli tires during a feature race has so faded.

Ultimately today our aim was to get as much milage as possible and to learn the techniques of saving the tires etc. However through no fault of our own we were taken out of the race just after two laps. What the Kimiya did, really should not happen at this level. It cost us a lot! Anyway we have to look forward and make the most of tomorrow. On the positive we got lots of media coverage..Unfortunately for the wrong reason! We've already shifted the focus to tomorrow and will make the most of it".
23 - JOHNNY CECOTTO
At the opening of the first race of the 2014 season here in Bahrain, Johnny was the author of an excellent start that in a few curves, saw him gain 5 positions. His race pace was very good and the pit stop was very successful but after some laps Johnny sustained a drive through penalty for having exceeded the track limits while overtaking another car.During the 21st lap the Team recalled Johnny to the pit lane to carry out the penalty and upon his return on the track he began to suffer the degradation of the posterior tires which brought him to complete the race in the 21st position.

DRIVER's QUOTE:"We had a very strange races today, after what was a mega first lap where I overtook more 5 cars putting me into P8 and having a very good pace things didn't go so well in the second half of the race. After our pitstop we were still consistent in the top 8 position with a good pace but when I overtook Pic I left the track for a fraction of a second when I had some oversteer and at that point I got a drive-through penalty which ruined our race. I hope we have more luck tomorrow"
